About Epidemic Music Group

Epidemic Music Group is an independent music company dedicated to developing artists, producing memorable live experiences and building stronger music communities.

Founded by Canadian musician, producer and event director Kevin Ker, EMG has spent more than fifteen years working across artist development, concert production, festivals, venue programming, recording, promotion and community cultural development.

EMG is the creative force behind Wintersong Music Festival, an annual multi-venue celebration presenting more than 100 performances and experiences throughout Stouffville, Ontario. The company also plays a leading role in programming and producing concerts, festivals and community events across York Region and the Greater Toronto Area, including the Markham Village Music Festival and year-round programming at Harmony Hall.

Through Harmony Hall and The Chandelier Room recording studio, EMG provides artists with opportunities that extend from the rehearsal room and recording process to the stage. Its work is rooted in long-term artist relationships, professional production, creative collaboration and the belief that thriving music scenes are built from the ground up.

EMG has presented and worked with an extensive range of celebrated Canadian and international artists while continuing to create meaningful opportunities for emerging and independent musicians.

In 2017, EMG produced the Guinness World Record-setting Longest Concert by Multiple Artists. The 437-hour event brought hundreds of musicians together, attracted international attention and raised approximately $100,000 for 17 charitable organizations.

Today, EMG continues to expand its work through artist and industry partnerships, destination events, international exchange and new opportunities connecting Canadian musicians with audiences at home and abroad.

More than a production company, EMG is a living musical ecosystem—connecting artists, venues, communities and ideas
