For the past 7 years we have worked tirelessly to help nurture and cultivate a flourishing local music scene in York Region. In addition to the curation of multiple music festivals, Epidemic Music Group provides: artist development, concert production, album production, full-scale event planning, promotion and more. We have created countless opportunities for musicians to display their talents, grow as artists and assemble in collaborative community. Our roster includes a seasoned team of artists, promoters, producers, managers and designers who can assist in the development of musicians and bands as well events requiring live entertainment.

We currently host three community-driven Open Mic experiences: The Markham Village Open Mic is entering its sixth year and is the longest running live music event in the city of Markham. The Earl’s Open Stage in Stouffville (as featured on CBC TV) is well into its fourth year and is frequented by Canadian rock and roll royalty. The recently launched Unionville Arms Open Stage has already grown into a giant in its own right. Rooted firmly in the core value of collaborative community, our Open Mics provide local musicians the opportunity to connect with one another and develop their sound in an enriching, synergetic environment.

Over the past three years EMG has played a pivotal role in the 40-year old Markham Village Music Festival. In 2013 we introduced a brand new grassroots stage, focusing solely on original music, to showcase the immense pool of talent within our community. The North Stage has grown exponentially and is now one of the festival’s main attractions. In 2014 EMG took on the role of curating and programming the entertainment for all stages in the Markham Village Music Festival; a role that has provided countless opportunities to local artists as well as well-known national acts. We also curate and program the entertainment for Taste of Stouffville, Music on Main and Summerfest.

2017 is poised to be our biggest year yet, beginning with the organization and execution of the “Longest Concert by Multiple Artists” in recorded history. The application has been approved by The Guinness Book of World Records and the date is set. Beginning March 17th at The Earl of Whitchurch in Stouffville, ON, this will be a 16 day, 24 hour a day concert raising money and awareness for 16 charities and shining a light squarely on our community, our local businesses and most importantly our artists. This commitment to collaborative community is one of the core values of Epidemic Music Group

Whether you are looking to record, perform, promote an event or implement a marketing campaign to generate awareness, we can help from the grassroots level up. If you require a website, posters or album art design we’ve got you covered.

If your establishment or event requires live music, EMG can not only provide incomparable talent but also facilitate the development of a successful event. As artists and industry professionals we understand the process from beginning to end and can implement and execute custom strategies that will eliminate the guesswork from the equation. EMG is here to take you to the next level.
