Epidemic Music Group (EMG) is a spiralling musical organism. For the past 7 years we have worked tirelessly to help create and facilitate a flourishing local music scene in York Region. From curating multiple music festivals, artist development, concert production, album production, event planning and promotion and much more. WE have created countless opportunities for musicians to display their craft. With a proven team of artists, promoters, producers, managers and designers who can assist in the development of artists and bands as well as events requiring live entertainment.

We currently host three community driven open mics; The Markham Village Open mic is entering its sixth year and is the longest running live music event in the city of Markham. The Earl’s Open Stage in Stouffville is well into its fourth year, it has been featured on CBC television and is frequented by Canadian rock and roll royalty. The Unionville Arms Open Stage is the youngest in the family but has already grown into a force of it’s own.

EMG has played a massive role in recent years of the 40 year old Markham Village Music Festival. In 2013 we introduced a brand new grassroots stage focusing on original music. The North stage has grown exponentially and is now a focal point of the festival. As of 2014 EMG is now responsible for the entertainment across all of the stages. We also curate the entertainment for Taste of Stouffville, Music on Main and Summerfest.

2017 is poised to be our biggest year. With plans well in motion to organize and run the “Longest Concert by Multiple Artists” in recorded history. The application has been approved by The Guinness Book of World Records and the date is set. This March 17th, 2017 we will embark on a 16+ day, 24 hour a day concert that will raise money and awareness for 16 different charities. The concert extravaganza will take place at The Earl of Whitchurch in Stouffville, Ontario. Stay tuned for more info.
